Pastor’s Word For 4/26/2026

Our anniversary celebration this past weekend was phenomenal and we thank you for being a part of the celebration. We thank Rev. Jerry Whitaker for his inspiring message to remind us to “Let Our Light Shine.”

Last week we were thanking the many ministers who have contributed to Safe Haven in our first 8 years and we left out a few key ministers by mistake so we acknowledge you now. Special thanks to: Rev. Steveon Hegwood, Evangelist Walesa Norris & Rev. Anthony Sullivan, Jr. Our apologies for omitting you previously and please charge it to the brain and not the heart. You are also important to this ministry.

When you get a chance to, check out our revamped website as we are getting a little bit more interactive. Also want to thank this week’s special guest speaker: Rev. Dr. Ashley L. Dowden [A Vehicle To Healing] for her powerful message: “Commissioned To Witness” which adds to our First Words Series that will conclude next Sunday with the upcoming message from your’s truly: “Know Your Role.”

You’ve been challenged to engage more and now it’s time to share your testimony with a neighbor. This week I was reminded how important I am to others. I’m here to remind you of the same thing as YOU are important to those who love you for who you are and not for who they think you are.
