Safe Haven Podcast Pastor’s Desk 10/21/2026

Greetings to you all as you are reading this very message. I want to thank everyone who has sent me birthday wishes yesterday as I celebrated my 46th birthday. The outpouring of love and gratitude has been overwhelming for me but has left me full of joy.

I want to acknowledge Elder Mason Curtis for his contribution specifically on the 11th of this month and for this upcoming Sunday. He’s been a huge blessing here at Safe Haven Podcast while I’ve been out speaking in a few churches lately. My engagement at New Beginning Worship Center was amazing but my “surprise” invitation to speak at First Baptist Church of Park Forest threw off our schedule at first. Elder Curtis was assigned to speak this past weekend but couldn’t make it in time so we released one of the outside engagements in its place on Sunday. The bigger one was aired yesterday though. My sermon from First Baptist Church of Park Forest was too strong for just to be heard by a few so it was a surprise addition to the schedule. 

As we begin to get back to our normal schedule, I want to acknowledge you for still listening and supporting this ministry. I’ll be back at Safe Haven on the First Sunday in November. We will have a special Thanksgiving Day service with our longtime friend, Rev. Dr. Ashley L. Dowden, as the guest speaker followed by Rev. Geovonnie R. Bates that Sunday afternoon. Keep yourselves updated by checking the website for further information.
