Pastor’s Word 9/12/2026

Greetings to everyone who happened to find this message today. Yesterday we honored the memory of 9/11/2001. 25 years ago the World Trade Center was taken down in a fashion that left a permanent scar on the lives of many of us who believe in freedom and what it has to offer. Some great things were created from this tragic event. My previous career in the Homeland Security came out of this and during my collective 12 years there I have learned to respect and acknowledge all cultures along with their religions. I may respect but I don’t condone anything negative done to anyone trying to live life to the best of their abilities. 

This Sunday, we will be focusing on the topic of “Taking The Steps” from Psalm 119. We illustrate how this is a metaphor on how we reach our purpose is by taking the steps instead of looking for shortcuts. That’ll be available at our regular time at 3:30 PM CST. Looking forward to you joining us for this program.

Also this Sunday, we send our prayers and well wishes to our brother, Rev. Geovonnie R. Bates, as he’s celebrating his first year as the Senior Pastor of New Beginning Worship Center. He’s also celebrating his birthday on this incredible day. He will have Pastor Edgar Philpot IV [The Community Covenant Church of Calumet Park] as the guest speaker. Due to my personal schedule, I won’t be there in person but my prayers and encouragement for Pastor Bates are already in action for he’s doing a great job so far. I encourage YOU to visit and encourage him this Sunday for their 11:00 AM service.
