From The Pastor’s Desk 6/24/2026

Firstly, I want to thank Rev. Anthony Sullivan, Jr. for this Sunday’s Father’s Day/PRIDE sermon. Thought provoking and eye opening for us all. If you haven’t listened to this message, please take the time to check it out at your earliest convenience but prepare to learn something new from a different perspective. 

Lately I have been feeling the pressures from this ministry as I’m more and more exhausted each Sunday from preparing the program to producing/distributing the program. This past weekend was no exception but I also realized that my yearly sabbatical is approaching. July has been designated as the month I rest from preaching….but Safe Haven Podcast isn’t shutting down or re-airing old programs during my monthlong sabbatical. Outside of giving on air announcements and plugs-I will leave the sermons to our guests to fill you up and allow me to recharge a huge part of myself. In the month of July, we have been able to bring in a friend and brother of mine who I admire for the first time onto Safe Haven. I will probably be able to tell you more about it this Sunday because he will be our guest for Sunday July 5th. 

This Sunday we will be focusing on “Confronting Our Enemies” as we wrap up our month studying select passages from Acts. We will revisit Acts in the future but in the meantime plan to check us out this coming Sunday at our usual time.
